Post by Silver Breeze (Storm) on Jun 13, 2012 0:26:30 GMT
Name: Silver Breeze, though she goes by "Storm".
Age: Adult, I guess. In human years, she'd be around 19. I'm not sure how old she'd be as a pony.
Gender: Female
Species: Pegasus
Family: Still has both of her parents, but she lives in a dorm at her college. She has an older brother named Grey Clouds and two younger siblings--twins--named Dawn Rise (female) and Dusk Swirl (male).
Pets: No pets. They're not allowed in the dorms.
Residence: She was born in her parents' house above Manehattan. She currently lives in a dorm room at the Manehattam Arts Institute.
Pelt Colour: Light blue-gray
Eye Colour: Dark gray
Mane/Tail: White with silver streaks. Very messy and short.
Cutie Mark: A silver quill pen and a theater mask mark her flank. Her talent deals with the theater. She prefers to write, but she loves acting almost as much.
Defining Features: Nothing aside from an unusually colt-like appearance.
Accessories: Tends not to wear accessories, but sometimes dons her Stormball jersey.
Likes: Chocolate, the color green, flying, writing, solitude.
Dislikes: Lizards, dogs, pompous a--ahem, ponies.
Personality: Silver Breeze is a rather introverted individual. She's far from shy, but she prefers time to herself and large crowds tend to annoy and exhaust her. She is easily irritable, and doesn't take easily to strangers. The few friends she does have are very close to her, and she would give her life for them. She's loyal to the bone, no matter how tough she may like to act. She's extremely tomboyish, even resembling a colt. Her snout is a bit more squared than most mares' would be, and her eyelashes aren't as long. She's pretty well-built, having played sports for several years. Not a single pony who had ever met her would call her outgoing, and would probably choose words more like "reserved". Some even mistake her introversion for arrogance, which is quite untrue. Silver (her classmates call her Storm) greatly dislikes arrogance. She is protective and possessive of her belongings, coming from having so many siblings. Although she's athletic and reckless, she is also very intelligent, having spent hours in her room absorbing knowledge from book after book. Silver may have friends, but she has a lot more enemies. She uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism, which most ponies don't take kindly to.
Occupation: Currently a student at the Manehattan Arts Institute, double-majoring in Dramatic Arts and Creative Writing. She's there on a work-study, and shelves books at the campus library for the 'work' portion. She is also a member of the university's Stormball team.
History: (Sorry in advance for how long this will be.)
Silver Breeze was the second child born to a middle-class family. Her brother, Grey Clouds, was popular and smart, acing all his classes and still finding time to make plenty of friends. Silver Breeze was stifled by his shadow, barely passed her classes, and tended to push ponies away. She was the exact opposite of Grey Clouds, who was two years older than her. Silver did have a few close friends, such as North Star, though she also tended to make enemies, like Golden Daze. Golden took pleasure in making Silver's life difficult. When Silver was seven, her mother gave birth to twins--Dawn Rise and Dusk Swirl. Silver Breeze was often stuck with babysitting duties while Grey Clouds went to his frequent social events. While she thought it unfair, she truly didn't mind much. She loved her younger siblings to death, even if she wasn't good at showing it all the time. Silver Breeze was nicknamed "Storm" when she became the star of her high school's Varsity Stormball team as a freshman. It was one of the few things she enjoyed, and one thing she had that her brother didn't. Her teammates were mostly meatheads, but she tolerated them with a minimum of sarcasm, knowing she needed them to like her. Or at least not hate her. As a sophomore in high school, Silver auditioned for the school's annual play and landed the leading role easily. The play solidified her reputation as an irreversible tomboy, as the main character was a stallion. She easily portrayed herself as male, deepening her voice and puffing out her chest. It was from that moment that she fell in love with theater. She didn't get her cutie mark until the next year (even the twins had theirs before she did!) when the drama teacher was at a loss for a play to put on that year. Silver Breeze stayed up for three days straight writing it. She played a minor part in the play, having decided the main role was more fitting to someone such as North Star, her best friend and also a great actress. She didn't notice her cutie mark had appeared until she returned home from the opening night of the play and the twins started chattering about it excitedly. As a senior in high school, Silver was offered a workstudy scholarship by Soft Spoken, the headmaster of a local arts college and a good friend of her high school drama teacher. Her parents tried to discourage her from attending, pushing her more towards an academic career. They failed to convince her, though. She had her heart set on going to the Manehattan Arts Institution. In college, she double-majored in Dramatic Arts and Creative Writing. For her workstudy, she worked part-time at the campus library, shelving books. She also joined the university's Stormball team. Despite how she grew up and her less-than-positive attitude, she managed to follow her dreams and do all the things she loved.
